Jupiter was one of several kittens rescued from the grounds around a Bakersfield homeless center. A woman resident who loved cats watched out for the kittens, offspring of the local community cats. Sadly, many of the kittens were deathly ill or died before they could be helped. Happily, Jupiter was one of the lucky ones. Jupiter was about 6 weeks old when he was caught during a month of intense rescue activity.
Jupiter is a sleek black kitty with super shiny fur. He loves to crawl on your lap and sit for as long as you will let him stay. His longing for your lap does become suspect, however, when it is around time for people food to be served. Keep a close watch on your kitchen and your plate. He has an excellent nose for finding your meal.
Jupiter is easy-going with the group of cats he is familiar with. He can be irritable when he is among cats he doesn’t know very well.
Jupiter would do well in a home where there are just a couple of other cats. He would likely enjoy the company of children. He is sweet and gentle.
